Basel-Aesch tram

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Basel-Aesch tram , or TBA for short , was a railway company in Switzerland . The public limited company with headquarters in Reinach was the owner of the Basel – Aesch railway line, which opened in 1907 . However, she never acted as an operator herself and therefore did not own any vehicles. The Basler Strassenbahnen (BStrB) were entrusted with the operation, initially on account, and from 1914 onwards by means of a lease agreement. The corresponding annual interest was initially 16,000, later 20,000 Swiss francs . The company merged on January 1, 1974 with the Birsigthalbahn (BTB), the Birseckbahn (BEB) and the Basellandschaftliche Ueberlandbahn (BUeB) to form the then newly founded Baselland Transport AG (BLT).
