transform - Magazin für das Gute Leben is a print magazine that focuses on questions about happiness, community, sustainability and social change. The booklet is called a "Bookazine". It is created by volunteer writers and illustrators and does not contain advertisements. The magazine finances the printing of the individual issues through crowdfunding campaigns and through sales. It is self-published in Berlin and Leipzig with a print run of 4,000 to 5,000 copies and is sold throughout Germany to train station and airport bookstores as well as in individual bookshops.
The first issue was published in August 2015 and deals with the world of work under the topic "We're throwing it out!" a. Tips on avoiding work.
The second issue from May 2016 revolves around the focus “ empathy where it hurts” and sees itself as a plea for more social togetherness and understanding, especially where it is often difficult (for example along political edges). Much space is given in this issue to the question of (non-) dialogue with supporters of AfD and Pegida .
The third issue of December 2016 deals with the main topic "We contradict each other" with internal contradictions of the individual and advertises u. a. for a relaxed approach to one's own contradictions, such as an inconsistently sustainable lifestyle.
