The French decorative style from 1750 to 1780, which combines elements of Louis-quinze and Louis-seize , or rococo and classicism , is called transition (Latin, French: transition ) . The style was primarily expressed in architecture, sculpture and furniture art. Among the cabinet makers (cabinet makers), for example, the Franco-German master Jean-Henri Riesener and the Bern master Johannes Äbersold have become known as representatives of the transition.
