Gapminder or Trendalyzer is an information visualization - software to animate Statistics . The software was developed by Hans Roslings Gapminder Foundation in Stockholm .

The software is available free of charge on the Gapminder website and is intended to visualize global statistics and data collections in an easy-to-understand way using interactive bubble charts . This is to promote a factual worldview. The statistics presented are freely accessible and for the most part surveys by UN organizations . In the meantime, more than 200 trends in indicators of international economics and politics can be called up; some of the data go back to 1800.

Gapminder story

Hans Rosling, the initiator of the Gapminder Foundation and Software, was a medical professor. In 2005 he founded Gapminder together with Anna Rosling Rönnlund and Ola Rosling. In 2006 the Gapminder World program was launched. In 2007, Gapminder's Trendalyzer software was purchased by Google .
