Trend study
A trend study is a repeat survey , sometimes also called a replicative survey . They are part of the longitudinal studies .
In contrast to panel studies , the same people are not always interviewed here, but instead samples are repeatedly drawn from the same population .
By repeating the survey, each cross-sectional survey can be converted into a trend study. Trend studies are therefore exact "replicas" of previously carried out studies. The big advantage of trend studies is economic: They are much cheaper than panel studies.
