Tribology and Lubrication Technology ( T + S for short ) is a scientific and technical journal from the field of mechanical engineering . It deals with current results from friction and wear research and their application to current issues in industrial practice.

The magazine has existed since 1953 and was published by Wilfried J. Bartz until 2018. Manfred Jungk has been the new editor since 2019. T + S appears every two months with a print run of around 1300 copies (according to the company's own information) in expert verlag .

subjects

Topics such as gear and engine lubrication , lubrication during forming , cooling lubricants , tribological test methods and ecological aspects of lubricants are dealt with. The section From Science and Research contains articles from universities, colleges and research centers, while the authors of the section From Practice for Practice mostly come from the research and development departments of industrial companies. The articles can appear in German or English.

A magazine section provides information on current trends and developments on the market. In the material part, the tribological calendar lists the current events. German and international patents from the field of lubrication technology are listed in a patent review . The standardization area lists new DIN , EN and ISO standards with the respective sources of supply. This is also where information is provided in advance about current draft standards.
