Triphala is a herbal mixture used in Ayurvedic medicine.

Triphala is a common Ayurvedic dietary supplement . It contains the three Myrobalane fruits Haritaki ( Terminalia chebula ), Amalaki ( Amla ) and Bibhitaki ( Terminalia belerica ).

In Ayurvedic teaching, Triphala is used as a Rasayana (strengthening and rejuvenating agent). In India , Triphala has been used in Traditional Indian Medicine for centuries as a colon cleanser, digestive aid, diuretic and laxative . Because of its anti-mutagenic properties, its use in cancer is being investigated.
