TripleA is a free, open source (released under GPL ) turn-based strategy game based on the Axis & Allies board game and played on the computer.

TripleA is comparable to the classic board game Risk . Various scenarios and maps have been developed for the game, with a wide variety of rules, units and game modifications being made possible.

TripleA is written in the Java programming language and can be played on any platform.

For multiplayer - real-time strategy games lobby is provided. Through this a game can be created or other games can be joined and an opponent can be found quickly. In addition, TripleA offers the option of playing against other players via play-by-e-mail (PBEM). Finally there is a single player mode that can be played against a computer opponent .
