The Triport GmbH is the operator of the 2004 built container terminals in Ludwigshafen am Rhein .

Since February 2007 Triport GmbH has also operated the new container terminal in Germersheim on Peninsula 1.

On January 1, 2008, Triport GmbH was renamed Contargo Ludwigshafen GmbH .

Focus

TriPort GmbH is part of the Contargo Group, which specializes in container transport between the seaports and the hinterland. The container terminal connects the modes of transport inland waterway, rail and road in the transport and handling area. The transshipment between the modes of transport is carried out using portal cranes and container forklifts.

Daily departures by barge and train connect the region with the seaports of Rotterdam, Antwerp, Amsterdam, Bremerhaven, Hamburg and Zeebrugge. Goods handled are consumer goods, machines, automotive parts, chemical substances and products from companies located in the region.

The terminal offers the possibility of handling up to 200,000 TEU per year on an area of ​​81,000 square meters . As one of the few German terminals on the Rhine, it has storage spaces for dangerous goods containers. The quay wall with a length of 390 meters allows two ships to be processed one behind the other.
