Throma Nagmo
Throma Nagmo ( Tibetan : khro ma nag mo ; Sanskrit : krodhakali ; German: wrathful blacks ) is a dakini of Tibetan Buddhism .
tradition
The “black Dakini of merciless compassion” has great significance in the Cö tradition, based on Machig Labdrön .
It manifests itself from the Dharmata , the essence of emptiness ; the essence on which everything is based and is known as Sambhogakaya- Dakini.
Throma Nagmo is very powerful in protecting practitioners' vows and mental clarity, and is ruthless against all vow breakers and neuroses. It is regarded as the emanation of the Vajrayogini , but can also appear as an independent yidam .
presentation
Throma Nagmo is black (more rarely: dark blue) body color and has a face and two hands. She is powerful and protective and has a third wisdom eye on her forehead. She has an additional wild boar head. In her left hand she holds a skull bowl with the blood of the vow breakers , from which she drinks, and in the crook of her arm a Kathvanga staff, in her right hand she holds a Triguk cleaver. The attributes have symbolic meaning.
