Tropical Fish Hobbyist (TFH) is a monthly, out given by TFH Publications magazine , which in 1952 by Herbert R. Axelrod was established (1927-2017).

The magazine is intended to cover all aquaristic topics and provides interested readers with information and news about the care, keeping and breeding of ornamental fish . In addition to the more biological aspects, the magazine also reports on technical innovations relating to aquaristics.

The magazine currently contains various columns in which readers can actively participate with their own reports and questions. In the first half of 2007 TFH had an average circulation of more than 22,600.
