Truche

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Truche , in Bohemian Truhla for trough, was a measure of volume in Bohemian mines for coal . The term for chest or chest, a square box, was similar in the Saxon mines. Truche, Druche, Droho, Truhne or Trohne can also be derived from this. The coal measure had a size of 20 filling barrels. In mining, a filling barrel was understood to mean a barrel of a certain size with which the coals were filled into the buckets.

  • 1 truche = 20 barrel

The truche was also used for the trade in china clay ( kaolin ).

  • 1 truche = 14 meats = 56 quarters = (10 to) 14 quintals (air-dry goods)
