The True Audio (TTA) is a free codec for lossless audio data compression from a Russian group of programmers. It is based on adaptive prediction filters.

The official encoder accepts uncompressed linear PCM material from WAV audio files with sample depths of integer 8, 16, 24 bit as well as 32 bit floating point data.

The format offers

It does not support streaming or RIFF chunks.
