The Ts'ehlanyane National Park ( English Ts'ehlanyane National Park ; often Tsehlanyane National Park ) is one of two national parks in Lesotho . It is 5300 hectares (53 km²) in size. According to the IUCN , according to the Department of Environment of the Ministry of Tourism, Environment and Culture, the national park should extend over the whole of eastern Lesotho and cover an area of ​​6324.02 km². This would make it the largest protected area in the country.

The national park is located on the western edge of the Drakensberg (Malotiberge) and protects among other things some of the few forests in the country with indigenous woods such as the ouhout ( Leucosedia sericea ). The Tsehlanyane and Holomo Rivers flow through the park.

The Ts'ehlanyane National Park is to be proposed as a biosphere reserve together with the Bokong nature reserve (status 2018). Ts'ehlanyane is the local name for the bamboo species Thamnocalamus tessellatus (South African mountain bamboo ).
