Tscheppaschlucht

The Tscheppaschlucht is a section of the Loiblbach gorge in the Karawanken south of Ferlach .

It stretches from the so-called “Golden Brünnl” up to the valley just under two kilometers to just above the confluence of the Bodenbach and the Loiblbach.

botany

In the Tscheppaschlucht there are plants that have been washed down from the subalpine and alpine heights (such as the white silver arum ( Dryas octopetala )) in addition to heat-loving species such as the common rock pear ( Amelanchier ovalis ). Rare species occurring here are the lady 's slipper ( Cypripedium calceolus ), the Carniolan lily ( Lilium carniolicum ) and the wolf primrose ( Primula wulfeniana ).

More than 500 liters of water flow into the depths every second.

The Tscheppaschlucht has been developed with climbs, stairs and bridges for hikers.
