DSO Tscherweno sname Sofia ( Bulgarian Доброволна спортна организация Червено знаме shortly ДСО Червено знаме, German volunteer sports organization Red Flag ) was a Bulgarian sports club based in Sofia , the Hockey Department from 1951 to 1963 nine times Bulgarian champion was. In 1963 the club was incorporated into the army sports club CSKA Sofia .
history
The club was created in 1949 from the merger of Sredez Sofia (founded in 1942) and Sportist Sofia (founded in 1939). The name comes from Sofia's district Tscherweno sname . In 1951 the men's ice hockey team won the first Bulgarian championship title in the club's history. In the following years the club dominated the Bulgarian ice hockey league and won eight other national championship titles by 1963.
In 1963 the club was incorporated into the army sports club CSKA Sofia , which then called itself CSKA Tscherweno sname Sofia for a few years .
