Cheetwertina

With Tschetwertina a Russian was ruble coin called. This was demonstrably made from the cut, quartered European thaler in 1654 and struck over. The term Tschetwertina is derived from the Russian Tschetwerka for a quarter . The value of the 1/4 ruble coin, the Tschetwertina, was only a transitional coin, the issue of which was soon discontinued. The arithmetic rub caused problems because of the inferiority of this issue.

Their appearance was: In the obverse the tsar on horseback and the value, and in the lapel the name and title of the tsar and the year in Cyrillic script .
