Kikuko Tsumura

Kikuko Tsumura ( Japanese 津 村 記 久 子 , Tsumura Kikuko ; born January 23, 1978 in Ōsaka ) is a Japanese writer.

Tsumura has been writing since she was a student and made her debut in 2005 with the novel Man Ītā (Man Eater), which was later titled Kimi wa eien ni soitsura yori wakai ( 君 は 永遠 に そ い つ ら よ り 若 い , "You will always be younger than her") appeared and was awarded the Dazai Osamu Prize . For Myūjikku buresu yū !! ( ミ ュ ー ジ ッ ク ・ ブ レ ス ・ ユ ー !! , "Music bless you !!") she received the 2008 debutant award of the Noma Literature Award . In the same year she was awarded the Akutagawa Prize for Potosuraimu no fune ( ポ ト ス ラ イ ム の 舟 ) . Her fourth novel Kyūsuitō to kame ( 給 水塔 と 亀 ) won her the Kawabata Yasunari Literature Prize in 2013 and in 2017 she was awarded the Murasaki Shikibu Literature Prize for Fuyūrei burajiru (浮遊 霊 ブ ラ ジ ル) .
