Reijirō Tsumura
Reijirō Tsumura ( Japanese 津 村 禮 次郎 , Tsumura Reijirō ; * 1942 ) is a Japanese Nō actor.
Tsumura studied economics at Hitotsubashi University and also took acting lessons from Kimiko Tsumura . In 1974 he took over the management of the acting group Ryokusenkai of the Kanze-Nō School . Since 1979 he has organized and directed the annual Takigi Nō event in Koganei . He has performed internationally in Great Britain, Belgium, Spain, Singapore, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Indonesia, among others. In addition to traditional Nō plays, he also performs new productions and also works with opera performers and ballet dancers. As a Japanese cultural ambassador, he toured Russia and Hungary in 2010. In 2014 he performed Hakurakusei , a piece for no -actor, ballet and piano based on a text by Niizawa Iwao .
