Tucacas is a village in the state of Falcón , Venezuela, the administrative seat of the Municipios Silva . Part of the Morrocoy National Park is located here .
history
The Spanish conquistador Alonso de Ojeda reached this region with Vespucci and Juan de la Cosa on August 6, 1499. It became a favorite place for smugglers and pirates.
economy
By far the most important economic factor is tourism. However, the flow of tourists and uncontrolled cultivation lead to the destruction of the environment.
