Tudou

Tudou ( Chinese  土豆網 , Pinyin Tǔdòu Wǎng ) is one of the largest Internet - video portals in China. The site went online on April 15, 2005 and in September 2007 had a streaming volume of over 55 million videos per day.

According to its own statements, Tudou is one of the largest consumers of bandwidth at all. In 2007, the site was streamed over a petabyte to over 7 million users per day . In YouTube at the same time, although more videos retrieved per day, but since the average length of videos was greater on Tudou, streamed at this time Tudou 15 million minutes a day significantly longer than YouTube (3 million minutes).

In mid-2012, Youku and Tudou merged to form Youku Tudou Inc.

According to Alexa Internet , Tudou was ranked 14th most visited site in China prior to the merger. Youku was number 11 prior to the merger.
