The real estate investment foundation Turidomus , based in Zurich, is a Swiss investment foundation . Its purpose is the joint investment and management of the funds entrusted to it by Swiss pension funds in real estate .

The foundation invests across Switzerland in both residential and commercial real estate . At the end of 2008, the investment foundation had a real estate portfolio valued at 2.761 billion Swiss francs, three quarters of which was residential property and a quarter was commercial property. In 2008, Turidomus achieved rental income of CHF 165.5 million.

The foundation was established in 2002 by three pension funds each from the Swissair Group and the Nestlé Group, as well as the City of Zurich Pension Fund . These were later joined by other pension schemes.

Legal bases

The legal basis is formed by foundation law on the one hand, and the federal law on occupational old-age, survivors 'and disability pensions, and the ordinance on occupational old-age, survivors' and disability pensions , on the other .

As an investment foundation, Turidomus is subject to the supervision of the Federal Social Insurance Office . The regulatory basis is the document Requirements for Investment Foundations drawn up by the Occupational Pension Insurance Supervision of the Federal Social Insurance Office .

The top management body of the foundation is the ten-person foundation council . This is elected for one year by the investors' meeting. The investors' meeting, for its part, consists of representatives of the pension funds that own shares, with voting rights based on the participation in the total assets.

Pensimo Management AG, in which the Turidomus investment foundation holds a 30 percent stake, has been delegated the management and handling of day-to-day business activities.
