Ušiši

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ušiši was a sun god who was worshiped in the land of Ida . A bowl dedicated to him was found in Hasanlu (Iran) in 1964 . According to a preliminary translation, the inscription read: “Palace of Bauri, king of the land of Idi, consecrated to the sun god Ušiši.” The inscription dates back to the time of the Central Assyrian Empire at the end of the 2nd millennium BC. Dated.

Since the second part of the inscription cannot be read, Ušiši can also be the name of a town.
