The 2011 Women's U-19 Asian Football Championship is the sixth edition of the Women's U-19 Asian Football Championship . In addition to the five best-placed teams from the previous tournament, the U-19 Asian Women's Cup in 2009 , the team from Vietnam was able to qualify as the sixth team for the finals in two preceding qualifying rounds.

Final round

Venue

The host city is Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam . The final round matches will be played in the following stadiums: Thanh Long Sports Center and Thống Nhất Stadium .

Tournament mode

The tournament was held from October 6 to 16, 2011 in tournament mode in the form of a round-robin tournament in Vietnam . The top three teams qualified for the 2012 U-20 Women's World Cup. The teams are ranked in the following order:

  1. Number of points (win: 3 points; draw: 1 point; defeat: 0 points),
  2. in the event of a tie, the direct comparison between the teams concerned,
  3. in the event of a tie, the goal difference from all group matches in a direct comparison,
  4. if the goal difference is the same, the number of goals scored in all group matches,
  5. Fair play evaluation, for which the number of yellow, yellow-red and red cards is used as a criterion,
  6. the lot.

Current situation

  • Japan, North Korea and China have all qualified for the 2012 U-20 Women's World Cup.
  • Since Japan subsequently qualified as hosts, the fourth-placed South Korea will also take part in the World Cup.
