Náměstí Míru Metro Station
Náměstí Míru (German: Peace Square ), named after the square of the same name , refers to a station on Prague's metro line A. The metro station , which went into operation on August 12, 1978, is the lowest station at 53 m below the road surface - but not the deepest point (tunnel between the stations Hradčanská and Malostranská with 68 m below the surface) - the Prague metro network and also the second deepest in the EU . Its 87 m long escalators with 533 steps are among the longest in the European Union. The station has three Victoria FT 732 escalators with a speed of 0.75 m / s. According to ThyssenKrupp , the theoretical conveying capacity is 13,500 people per hour. When the Prague Metro is being expanded, it is planned to connect the station as an intersection between Line A and a planned Line D.
