UHARC
Uharc ( Uwe Herklotz ARChiver ) is a proprietary data compression program for DOS and Microsoft Windows . In addition, there are several programs that provide a separate graphical user interface. Uharc is free for private and non-commercial use, commercial use requires a fee-based registration. Neither the source code, nor a file format or algorithm description are published. Files compressed with Uharc have the extension .UHA . The last version 0.6b is completely incompatible with the previous version 0.4.
Uharc compresses (heavily depending on the type of output data) around 10% more than RAR and 1 to 2% better than 7-Zip in 7z mode. On the other hand, Uharc is a little slower, but can still be used in practice compared to the strongest experimental packers such as WinRK in PWCM mode, PAsQDa or DURILCA .
Uharc can only pack files up to 2 GB in size.
