USIE

The platform USIE ( English Unified System for Information Exchange in Incidents and Emergencies ) is a protected website of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and can range from official contact points of the Parties to the Convention on Early Notification of a Nuclear Accident and the Convention on Assistance in the Case of a Nuclear Accidents or radiological emergencies. In particular, the platform serves as the primary communication channel with the IAEA for the rapid exchange of information in the event of nuclear or radiological emergencies. The USIE platform thus fulfills a similar purpose at the level of the IAEA as the ECURIE system of the European Union . In addition, national INES officers can exchange information on security-related events via USIE.
