USS General Greene
Two ships of the US Navy were named USS General Greene after Nathanael Greene , a general of the Revolutionary War .
- The first General Greene was a 10-cannon customs cutter built in 1797, temporarily used by the US Navy , and retired in 1799.
- The second General Greene was a 30-cannon frigate launched in 1799, used in the American-French quasi-war , retired in 1800 and burned in 1815.
