USS Tacoma

USS Tacoma was the name of four US warships:

  • USS Tacoma (1893) (sometimes spelled Takoma ), a harbor tug bought for scrapping in 1900, 1937
  • USS Tacoma (CL-20) (originally Cruiser No. 18), a Denver-class protected cruiser - launched in 1903, retired in 1924
  • USS Tacoma (PF-3) , type of ship Tacoma class classified as patrol frigate ( patroul frigate ), launched in 1943; 1951 as Taedong (PF-63) to the Republic of Korea, retired in 1973
  • USS Tacoma (PG-92) (ex motor gunboat PGM-92 ), an Asheville-class patrol gunboat , launched in 1968, decommissioned in 1995 and delivered to Colombia as coast guard boat ARC Quitasueño (P 112) , later used there in customs service
