Udo Weigelt (born August 3, 1960 in Hamburg ) is a German author specializing in children's books.

He studied German and history at the Universities of Kiel and Hamburg. He has lived on Lake Constance since 2003. Publications since 1998 in numerous languages, also under a pseudonym (".ETW Igel" or "Moritz Petz").
