from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ultra Low Cost PC ( ULCPC , German: Personal Computer with extremely low price ) is the name for a cheap personal computer such as a netbook or nettop .

Most commonly, Microsoft uses the term to refer to a class of computers for which Microsoft offers special licensing models for its operating systems. The availability of Windows XP for ULCPCs has been extended.

Microsoft's definition of ULCPC is, at least approximately, often used for the definition of netbook.
