Circumferential band

A circumferential tape or blind tape is used to estimate the dimensions of a book production.

The bookbinding supplies to the client on request, the Paper and the cover of planned an unprinted pattern, a publication edition was manufactured. This means that the external dimensions and weight correspond to the not yet finished book.

The circumferential tape is mainly used to determine the thickness of the tape and the dimensions for the cover during book production . The graphic artist needs this information to design the cover or the dust jacket.
