Edge band is an umbrella term for narrow side panel coatings from the joinery sector .

A distinction is made between glueing and glueing:

  • Edge band is a narrow side plate coating according to the veneers is attached to the plate.
  • Edge band is attached before the panel is veneered . It can only be seen on the narrow side of the finished plate.

Edges are made from acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) , solid wood or multiplex panels .
