Indecision

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Indecision is a state of mind that occurs when judgment cannot be made by being unable to make a decision. Friedrich Kirchner wrote in his dictionary of basic philosophical terms in 1907:

"The only thing that helps to get beyond this is to follow the reasons of reason , not, as some do, the loose or the random guess of others."

The ancient skeptic Pyrrhon von Elis applied indecision in the form of the aorist and postulated that things were indistinguishable, inconstant and therefore indistinguishable. Therefore one should not believe our perceptions or our ideas , from which the obligation arises not to make a decision.
