The Unione Santa Caterina da Siena delle Missionarie della Scuola ( dt. : Mission SSNDs , Order abbreviation : MdS ) is a Roman Catholic Women's_Orders . The Vatican has recognized the order as an " order of papal law ".
The religious order with a focus on teaching and educational training was founded on April 30, 1917 by Sr. Luigia Tincani . In addition to the headquarters in Via Appia Antica in Rome, there are branches in India, Italy, Pakistan, the Netherlands and Poland.
In 1939 the Free University of Maria Himmelfahrt (Libera Università Maria SS. Assunta; LUMSA) was founded.
