The United States Forces Iraq (USF-I) was a major unit of the US armed forces to which all American troops in Iraq were subordinate (approx. 112,000). He was subordinate to the US Central Command (CENTCOM). After all allied states of the Coalition of the Willing had withdrawn their troops from Iraq by mid-2009 , the US Forces Iraq became on January 1, 2010, including the Multi-National Force - Iraq and the Multi-National, which is responsible for training the Iraqi security forces Security Transition Command Iraq formed from the predecessor organization Multi-National Force Iraq .

With the withdrawal of US troops, the association was dissolved on December 15, 2011.
