The Universidad de Cartagena ( German University of Cartagena , abbr. Unicartagena) is a Colombian university in Cartagena de Indias .
The university has existed since 1827. In 1957, the Austrian anthropologist Gerardo Reichel-Dolmatoff founded the first chair for anthropology in Latin America there.
