Our first apartment together was a docu-soap series by Sagamedia Film- und Fernsehproduktion GmbH that was broadcast by RTL . The format started on November 7, 2005 with a market share of over 20 percent. The last edition ran on December 23, 2014.
Shipment process
The show usually begins with the introduction of a couple. It tells how they both met and how they lived so far. Then both explain why they want to move in and what type of apartment they are looking for. Usually two apartments are viewed, the second of which the couple likes. Friends and family members help out with the move and subsequent renovations.
Classic objects of contention are pieces of furniture that one does not like, but is dear to the heart. The color with which the apartment is to be painted can also trigger a dispute. However, after the move, all quarrels are over and most of the people who have moved together still have a surprise in store for each other.
At the end of each episode there is a brief comparison of the apartment before and after the renovation. A before / after picture is faded in room by room and the speaker mentions the key points of the renovation.
