Indecent employment

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Under unständig employees refers to employees who are not permanently employed by the same employer and have no permanent employment. However, a non-permanent job can also be carried out with a single employer. The "non-permanent worker" was created in 1910 to open social security to day laborers , for example in ports.

definition

The period of employment is decisive here. The jobs are carried out professionally for a period of less than a week. It is irrelevant whether they are limited to this period from the outset by the employment contract or due to their nature (e.g. clean-up work). A week is a period of time that includes seven consecutive calendar days. It begins on the first day of employment. Work-free Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays are counted.

Effects on social security law

Non-employed employees - like all other employees - are fundamentally subject to social security contributions . The only exception to this is unemployment insurance , where non-employed persons are exempt from insurance .

Membership in health insurance for non-employed persons remains valid for a maximum of 3 weeks even for periods in which no employment is carried out. It ends if the job is not just temporary abandonment.

A significant peculiarity can arise from the fact that a client may also appear as an employer under social security law towards an independent service provider and therefore have to pay the social security contributions from the billed remuneration.
