Downfall
A downfall was a boundary stone setter on behalf of the local jurisdiction or the magistrate from the 13th to the 18th century in southwest Germany.
The subordinates were also responsible for monitoring the boundaries of the district and properties and were therefore officials. In general one speaks of field jury members , see there.
