Flush box

A flush-mounted socket is used when installing electrical and telecommunications cables that are laid under the plaster (i.e. not on the plaster ).

There are flush sockets

• As a device box for installing switches , dimmers , sockets , sensors or actuators and
• for connecting permanently installed cables as a junction box or as a wall outlet box .

Cavity wall boxes are comparable in dry construction .
