Ursus tractor factory (Wiesbaden)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Ursus tractor factory Wiesbaden was a manufacturer of tractors founded in 1947 .

Because the name was identical to the Polish manufacturer Ursus , the manufacturer operated under Urus GmbH from October 1950 to September 1954 . After the designer Wilhelm Anton Erkelenz, the company took over in 1956, the corporate name (company) was Ursus tractors plant Erkelenz & Co . After the Second World War, Ursus combined axles and transmissions from decommissioned military vehicles with economical diesel engines. Axles from GMC and Dodge were preferred, and motors from MWM and Fichtel & Sachs were used as drives . The all-wheel-drive tractors Ursus B28 and Ursus B40 as well as the Ursus C10 Bambi were designed. The manufacture of tractors ended in 1957.
