Usability engineering lifecycle
In order to ensure that a high level of usability can be guaranteed in the finished system as part of usability engineering during development, the corresponding requirements must be created before the system is designed. The Usability Engineering Lifecycle offers the possibility to include usability in the development process. So that a high level of user-friendliness can arise in the later system, the requirements of the users, the usage environment and the user's perception must be considered. This consideration of the user goals and the user environment ensures that the appropriate framework conditions are observed during development in order to enable a quantitative analysis of usability in the later course of the development process. This quantitative analysis is made possible by the fact that objectives are derived from the requirements for the system to be developed, which can then be quantified using clear values.
The application of the Usability Engineering Lifecycle offers the possibility of laying the foundations already in the development phase of a system so that the finished system has a high level of usability.
