The VDF Hochschulverlag AG at the ETH Zurich , shortly vdf Hochschulverlag or vdf , is a Swiss specialist book publisher based in Zurich . Originally the publisher was called VDF Verlag der Fachvereine an der Schweizerischen Hochschulen und Technischen AG , the current name underlines the close connection between the publisher and ETH Zurich even more clearly.
From 2006 to 2014 the vdf was a partner of the UTB for Science, Uni-Taschenbücher GmbH, Stuttgart. The vdf is also a member of the Baufachverlage (ABV) working group and is therefore anchored in the entire German-speaking area. The publisher participates in projects such as Amazon Book Search and Google Books Search.
Publishing offer
The vdf mainly publishes scientific publications , printed and online (e-books). The focal points of the vdf include the fields of architecture / construction, economics and business informatics / computer science, engineering, natural sciences, environment and ecology, humanities and social sciences as well as publications on law and politics. In addition to specialist and textbooks for teaching, research and practice, he also publishes non-fiction books for a wider audience.
