VK Šibenik

VK Šibenik is a Croatian water polo club from the city of Šibenik . It is the only club from Šibenik that plays in the first division .

The club plays its home games in the swimming pool in Crnica (formerly the Hotel Ivan pool). The association's headquarters are in Šibenik, Prilaz tvornici BB , Croatia .

history

The club is a permanent member of the first division and was this under the name Solaris in the former Yugoslavia. Between 2002 and 2006 the game had to be abandoned completely until today's club complex was built. Since June 2007 the Nautical Centar Prgin has been the new club sponsor, the abbreviation of which was also included in the club name - VK Šibenik NCP.

In the club's history, no trophy or championship could be won. Nevertheless, players have been brought into the national team over the years, such as Perica Bukić , Renato Vrbičić , Siniša Belamarić , Andrija Komadina and Denis Šupe .

Participation in the LEN Cup 2006/07 final (first leg on May 9, 2007: Šibenik - Sintez Kazan 10 - 12, second leg on May 23, 2007: Sintez Kazan - Šibenik 9 - 10) can be described as the greatest success .
