VR Troopers ( Virtual Reality Troopers ) is an American television series by Saban , which was shown in German-speaking countries in the 1990s (1994–1996). VR Troopers is the US-Americanization of the metal heroes series Chōjinki Metalder (season 1), Jikū Senshi Spielban (season 1 & 2) and Uchū Keiji Shaider (season 2).

action

The VR Troopers series was the first official sister production of the Power Rangers . Just like this, VR Troopers included an Americanization of Japanese Tokusatsu series.

The series features three young people - Ryan Steele, Kaitlin Star, and JB Reese - who live in the fictional west coast town of Cross World City. All three of them work and teach in a karate studio called “ Tao's Dojo ”. Ryan is a good hand-to-hand fighter, JB is a computer specialist, and Kaitlin is a good reporter who writes for the Underground Voice Daily . While searching for his missing father, Ryan and his two friends discover a strange laboratory. In the laboratory is the digitized head of Professor Horatio Hart, a very good friend of Ryan's father. He tells the three friends that he once secretly invented an advanced virtual technology that became the purpose of his life. "VR" (virtual reality) is a dimension in which there are monsters and mutants who strive to rule both dimensions. The master of these creatures is called the Grimlord, who appears in the real world as the industrial multibillionaire Karl Ziktor. When Karl Ziktor wants to make the barrier between the two dimensions permeable for his army of monsters and mutants, the responsibility of defending the real world falls into the hands of Ryan, Kaitlin and JB with the help of their armored armor, which also includes various weapons they fight against Grimlord.

successor

There is no real successor to VR Troopers. Unofficially, however, Big Bad Beetleborgs is the successor, as it is also an Americanization of metal heroes series.
