Varty Ohanian-Kevorkian

Varty Ohanian-Kevorkian (* around 1980) is a Lebanese social worker. From January to August 2020 she was Minister for Youth and Sport in the Diab cabinet .

Live and act

Ohanian worked as a social worker and from 2017 to 2019 was the head of a special needs education center in the Beirut district of Bourj Hammoud, the Zvartnots Center, which cares for children with special needs. She is close to the theologian Katholikos Aram I and the Tachnag party. On January 21, 2020, proposed by the Tachnag Party and as a representative of the Armenian Orthodox community, she became Minister for Youth and Sport in Hassan Diab's cabinet .

After Hassan Diab resigned as Prime Minister on August 10, 2020, the Minister remained in office until a new cabinet was formed.
