A vasoprotector (from vas ( Latin ) - vessel and protegere (Latin) - to protect) is a medicine that acts on blood vessels . According to the ATC code , vasoprotectors form subgroup C-05 within group C blood circulation and include drugs for the treatment of hemorrhoids , varicose veins and preparations for building up the capillary vessels .
