Fatherland Bro is a bridge over the Akerselva in central Oslo . The bridge connects the streets Brugata and Grønland and the districts Vaterland and Grønland .

The Vaterlands bro was built in 1654 and remodeled in the 1830s. Until the bridge was built, all those coming east and north had to use the bridge at Kongens mølle . Fatherland's bro was the main access road to the city from north and east until Nybrua was built in 1827.
