Veien Fremd (Norwegian: The Way Forward ) was a Norwegian political-literary magazine. It appeared from 1936 to 1937 and was edited by Nordahl Grieg . As part of the Popular Front movement, the magazine fought for the unification of all anti-fascist forces. The authors included A. Martin Andersen Nexø , Louis Aragon , Bertolt Brecht , Ilja Ehrenburg , Thomas Mann , Ludwig Renn and Anna Seghers . The magazine had to be closed for economic reasons, but in 1947 Odd Hølaas published an anthology with texts from the magazine.
